Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore, get wisdom and in all thy getting, get understanding

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Peter 5: 6-11

”Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time (1 Peter 5:6).”

Life has a way of dealing us with blows, sometimes heavy and sometimes light. Losing a dearly loved one is a heavy blow, because we never see the person again until the resurrection day. Failing WAEC or JAMB, even a promotional exam is a lighter blow because we can retake them, or God may reposition us elsewhere. Whatever blows you may have received from life, know that you are still alive because God says so.

Even if you are currently down with a sickness and it seems you are not getting better, your Healer is not human, not dead and cannot die. When all hope seems lost, there is still hope for the righteous, therefore God says, “Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds (Isa. 3: 10)." May this minister to us today.

No matter how we have been or are being devoured by the enemy, we must stand firm in our faith and resist him, for our real enemy is not men but the devil (wv.8-9).

Our God has already released His grace through our Lord Jesus, making us more than conquerors (Rom. 8: 37). Yet, even after all the sufferings and pains, when it seems as if we have lost everything like David and his men, God assures us that we will surely recover all, and that He will make us strong again and settle us (1 Sam. 30: 3, 8; 1 Pet. 5:10).

Cast all your worries, pains, disappointments and failures on God, He will carry them for you and in exchange, give you a better joyful tomorrow.

It is good to know we have a burden bearer like God. Appreciate Him, allow Him into your heart today and let Him fully take care of you.
