‎ ‎Coming under divine scrutiny 

‎‎David presented himself before God for scrutiny. He knew he could not hide anything from the Eyes that run to and fro.‎

‎Can you see that David streamlined his examination to the most crucial part, the heart.‎

‎Real faith and true spirituality issue from the heart. It is not the outward flamboyance of shallow impressive religion. It is not the outward lips that betray a rotten conscience.‎

‎What matters most to God is the content and intent of the innerman. A penitent heart that is purified by the blood is better than a boisterous life with skeleton – ridden cupboard.‎

‎Even if we have erred, coming to God with a sense of surrender/submission is a sure pathway to restoration.

‎Grace upon Grace (1 Jn 1:16).
